Fix brake caliper animation in Unreal Engine 5 Chaos Vehicles using Control Rig. In this tutorial, you’ll make the calipers follow wheel suspension and steering without inheriting the wheel’s continuous spinning rotation.
Chaos Wheel Controller only animates the wheel bones and does not automatically handle brake calipers. A custom setup is therefore required to make each caliper follow the wheel’s suspension and steering movement without inheriting its continuous spinning rotation.
Before following this tutorial, your vehicle should already be rigged, imported into Unreal Engine, and working with Chaos Wheel Controller.
